Can't figure out Streaming bluetooth audio

Everything I read tells me that my iphone 4 supports streaming bluetooth audio, and in my car, with a bluetooth speaker installed, i take calls no problem...quite easy.

however, as I try to stream stitcher, doesn't work...doesn't even give me an option. Pocket tunes, same thing, Ipod app, same thing.

My old BB 9700 streams stitcher effortlessly, but i can't seem to figure this out. Looking for some wise vets to help me out with this one.

Its paired properly, and the bluetooth connects immediately with the iphone once i get in the car.

Can anyone help me with this. thank you in advance.

Your bluetooth has to have A2DP. That's the only way you can play music through your iphone to your bluetooth.

It works. I have a Jawbone with A2DP and it works perfectly.

It seems to me like your car stereo's bluetooth is not set up to double as a microphone while on calls and as stereo output while listening to music. The problem isn't the iPhone or iOS 4.0.
