yea i had a 3g 16gb and right now i can get a 32gb 4 but myself havent decided if i want to pay the extra $100 yet...the hd video didnt think about that one so something to ponder on
For me a 32 gb was definitely worth the extra $99. I take a lot of pictures and video on my phone and also have a decent amount of movies and apps on my phone. Right now I have 6.2 gb available. But it depends on what you use your phone for.
I think for $100 it's worth it. I think it differs from user to user, I'll be getting a 16GB I have a 16GB 3G and a 16GB iPad which are both only half full.

I'm similar to Ipheuria.
I had the 3GS with 32 GB and barely had filled 9GB of it. That's with ALL my pictures, apps, etc.
I went down to the 16GB I have 9.2GB available according to the General->About info.
I don't even know why this is a question. An extra hundred up front is nothing compared to the probable 2,500 you will pay through the contract. It is 3,600 for me on Rogers. Damn three year contracts and $100 a line bill. Meh, at least my carrier works. tehehe
If you can afford it then I'd go with the 32gb, I did. Just think HD recording, a larger megapixel camera, plus if you buy/rent movies to watch on your iPhone your definitely going to get an HD movie to watch on that beautiful screen.
Also if you use slacker plus you can now cache stations for listen when there isn't any signal (like an airplane). That takes up room also.
