If I purchase iPhone 4 16gb black with AT&T?

Would apple let me trade up to 32gb white when the white iPhone 4 comes out?

No they will not let you trade up from the 16gb phone to the 32gb iphone 4. Well initially, and especially with the release of the white, thats what I was told when I stood in line waiting the 8 hours to get my phone. They were pretty strict with the fact that people who buy the 16 would not be able to trade up to the 32gb.

Yes, but there is a 10% restocking fee for returns and exchanges of iPhones.

There is no restocking fee if you buy it at Apple. If you buy the black one at
an Apple store and the white one comes out within your 30 day period, I'm
not exactly sure if Apple will let you exchange it for a white one. But, if you're
still within your 30 days you can always just return the black phone and then
go ahead and buy the white one.
