What's my iPhone worth?

I'm not sold on the HDR yet, but it works in some instances, such as this one. I don't intend to upload the original, but the shadows on her nose and in the dog house were lost. The door was blown. So it has it's moment, but they need to be further edited in an app or on your computer.

Slalomskie what were you focused on in the picture? This is a great pic to show off what HDR can do.

Half the pics I take, the HDR version just looks overexposed.

Not really sure. It was just a quick pic so the camera probably didn't have time to focus.

Agreed, but when I'm in an ideal situation for HDR, it's extremely useful.

The point is that HDR brings out detail that wasn't there before. The non-HDR photos may appear to have more contrast, but HDR gives you the option to edit it later and have all of this extra detail.

Ive actually felt the pics with HDR to be quite UNDER exposed for the most part...

Usually it looks like hdr doesn't only underexposed the dark areas, but even the light areas are lighter than original pictures like the floors or things/people who where lit correctly in the first place.

I am so impressed with the iPhone camera that it has replaced my point and shoot. Thanks for this thread, as soon as I have enough posts to "belong" I will look forward to sending along some of mine.

I love the Hipstamatic, it creates some great looking effects. I use it to take pictures of my pets and they look so quaint and from another era. Your pics look good.
