Hey everyone, I live in northern New Jersey about 15-20 minutes outside of NYC.
Recently I've been doing a lot of speed tests from the speedtest.net app, and I would usually get 1.5 mbps download and only like 100 kbps upload, but today after getting the iPhone 4 I started doing tests in the same area as last night & now it's consistently 3.5 mbps download and 1.2 mbps upload.

So I was wondering could this be At&t rolling out hspa+ or is the iPhone that much better at grabbing a signal?

If it were real HSPA+ it could be 5mbps+...
3.5mbps is more like regular 3G when properly implemented.

I hope AT&T isn't implementing HSPA+, they should skip it and just implement a solid LTE network for the 2011 iPhone launch. The sooner we get LTE started, the better.

Well, good to hear at least one person's reception has actually improved. :p

I'm there with ya. Yeah, 3.5mbps and over 1 mbps upload. In louisville, ky today. Pretty awesome. Noticeable difference loading pages or app store from 3GS.

My download speeds are roughly the same. 1.5-2.4 down, however my uploads increased dramatically. Now I upload around 1.2 instead of .24 or so.
