The car kit isn't adjustable. That's why I didn't buy one. I couldn't see myself taking my phone out of the case every single time I wanted to use the Tom Tom app.

my 3gs worked fine in the tom tom car kit WITH a case mate case on. I agree with you in that I wouldn't want to have to remove case each time i wanted to put it in the recharger.

What kind of case do you have? Mine is kinda thick....it's from SwitchEasy.
