My rule is if I don't have more than four apps for a folder, I won't make a folder.
I do have folders for: Productivity, Entertainment, Navigation, Social, Games, Tools, and Education which has (iBooks, Classics, B&N Reader, Formulas, FingerPiano, LabCal, USA Maunual, MyGPA)

Update!

UPDATE: I rearranged some folders, and created a new Photography folder for camera-related apps!

I didn't want to add too many folders though, since they would've blocked by beautiful friend's lovely face! ;)

I put all my regularly used stuff on the home page with commonly accessed folders at the bottom (yes, including the  folder with all the Apple junk since that's where settings and a few other things are). Less used stuff and uncategorized stuff is on the second page. I do love folders.

Don't you find that having to sift through so many folders takes more time? I use folders don't get me wrong but you REALLY use folders. I guess if you have so many apps...

I was thinking the same. Unless they're in
alphabetical order, I don't see how easy
that can be.

I actually re-ordered my folders where the
three I'd use the most are the first in each
row: Social, Navigation, Entertainment.

It took me about a week to used to the idea that I really don't need to sift through my folders at all. The apps that I use most are in the fast app switcher and if I need to launch an app that is not there I just use Spotlight and launch it that way. After I got used to it it seems to much better then having 7 or 8 pages of apps.

I certainly think that in some cases things that you use a lot is better left out of a folder. Having too many folders is as bad as having too many applications! LOL

Great point, on my front page I have Osfoora, Calendar,Clock and a few others like settings and such not in a folder. I tend to like having those types of apps right there where I can get to them without any hassle.
