Pre Order Confirmation Email

I pre-ordered my iPhone 4 this morning around 10:30 AM EST from Apple.com. I printed my order confirmation after I completed and have my order #. I went back in to apple and checked my "order status" and my order is there for my 32GB phone. However, I have yet to receive a Confirmation Email. I hear from some people that they have received an email, but some haven't. Should I be concerned considering I have my Order # and it shows on Apple's website? I have tried calling Apple and AT&T and neither are accepting calls.

Same here, I ordered about an hour before you. I have an order number, I can view the status of the order and my card has been charged but no confirmation email. It makes me a little uneasy but I don't think its a big deal. If I were them i'd dedicate resources to processing orders and save sending emails for later or over night

I doubt if we all will receive confirmation emails right away.
All you need is the confirmation when you log in that shows it under order status

Yeah, I kind of feel the same way. It makes me feel uneasy as well thinking that maybe my order didn't get completed. I was just hoping someone talked to a rep before they shut their phones off to get some sort of incite into why some people weren't getting confirmation emails and if it is a problem. I'm just looking for something reassuring.

Same boat as all of you guys. I made damn sure to print my confirmation page on their site and I also checked my bank and the funds were taken out by apple. i also checked my order status and it is listed as not shipped obviously lol. i really wish i would get an email though just for the final straw but im pretty worry free at this point.

The funds were not taken from my bank account. I believe it's because i used a debit card and they can only put a hold on it until they ship.

I have been trying since 4:00 AM PDT but without luck I made a reservation to pick up. I was having a hard time but I used the Apple Store app that was on giz and I think it worked that was around 9:30 am. I received this email but the pricing does not look right. I sure hope that it is true but I am going to keep trying until I know for sure.

Oh Dude,, you messed up!!!
I came 20 times through to the page where it would not show the home delivery but only store delivery, and everytime I would go through to the final step it would switch the price from $299 to $599 for me.

But I didnt give up, I started over and kept trying till the home delivery showed up and got the $299.

I wish you best of luck trying to get the difference back,,, theyre very anal and strict about contract related price agreements. Good luck and please keep us posted ! Thanks

I ordered mine through AT&T, and though it glitched/timed out at the end, I have an order number and the charges were authorized on my card. I also called ATT Customer Service and she confirmed the pre-order was placed. However, I have yet to receive any e-mail confirming this. It's making me nervous, but so long as I see the order on ATT's site and knowing she confirmed the information, it's making me a little more calm.

I got my email confirmation from at&t. Heres the beginning of the email...

Thank you for ordering iPhone 4 from AT&T. Your device has been reserved. Today was the busiest sales day in our history. Because of the incredible volume of orders we received, there is a slight chance that some customers may receive their devices between June 25 and June 28. i Got the same email as Lurk but no conf # and it doesn't show on at&t or Apple site , should I be worried ?

I placed my order this morning at 5:30 Central Time via AT&T and it says it is indeed placed on their website and if I call - just never got a email. If you are wondering about your order just check online or call... Good luck!

third line from the bottom where it saids "by clicking here". if you click that link in your email it takes you to the at&t site that shows your order processing with invoice number etc...Eventually it will have the tracking info in the corresponding box.

just got my confirmation email from Apple...its official all the steps are complete now just got to wait till the 24th!!!

and ghost i paid cause i had it shipped to me not reserved at a store.

Update!!!!

I just got off of the phone with an Apple Rep (after waiting 40 minutes).....She said that I was very lucky to have gotten my order to go through. She said very few people have actually gotten an order places through Apple. She confirmed my order (every detail) assured me that my order was set to deliver on the 24th and she actually resent my confirmation email and it showed up seconds later.

Hmm, I have a feeling I am going to be waiting in line with the common people who didn't reserve. I can't have it shipped to me since I won't be available where it could be delivered.

I finally got through to the Apple store, selected the 16 gb for home delivery, got a confirmation number and the charge was taken off my debit card already. My hands are shaking in anticipation, almost can't believe that I actually got through and my new iPhone will be here next week!

UPDATE: Also got the confirmation email with the June 24th shipping date ... hopefully that date sticks! Either way, my iPhone 4 is on its way!
