- Ok here the deal. I have a family plan with 3 lines. Wife, son and mine. I have a Bberry Bold and I am eligible for an upgrade at the end of july. My wifes isnt for a long while. My son currently has the 1st gen iPhone and he recieved a text saying:
"As a valued AT&T customer, we can offer you a discounted iPhone upgrade with a new 2-year commitment and an $18 upgrade fee."
My question is if I upgrade his iPhone for the new iPhone when it comes out, will I be able to put my sim card in it and have it work. And he put the new sim card in his old iPhone and still have everything work ok?06-06-2010 09:02 PMLike 0 - The SIM from your Blackberry? Going back from when we switched to iPhone to BB, I don't think the SIMS are interchangeable. In fact, I think the SIM cards to unique to each iPhone-when I got a new iPhone under warranty, and went to switch in my old SIM, the guy at Apple said the new SIM would be the only one to work in the new phone. But I don't think you'll have any problems with the upgrade itself. Do you have unlimited data for your BB? Wondering if the grandfathering of customers who currently have unlimited data applies if you totally switch devices.06-06-2010 11:28 PMLike 0

- Between upgrades and replacements, we've had four iPhones, and that's been the experience every time, both at Apple (replacements) and AT&T (upgrade and switch from BB).

That is correct with current devices but the new iPhone will use the micro sim card which isn't interchangeable with other devices.06-07-2010 07:34 AMLike 0 - Between upgrades and replacements, we've had four iPhones, and that's been the experience every time, both at Apple (replacements) and AT&T (upgrade and switch from BB).
