Do you use your iPhone to its full potential?

How much do you use all the functions?

I was thinking about this the other day as I was asked this
question.

This means... aside from the 3rd party apps you download,
do you use all aspects of the phone on a consistent basis;
at least once a day?

Phone?
Messaging?
Email?
Maps?
Web Browser?
Calendar? (Scheduling)
Calculator?
Camera/Gallery?
Clock? (Alarms and others)
Contacts?
App Store?
iPod?
Weather App?
YouTube?

If you use replacements, that's good also.
Example: Using Dolphin HD browser over the stock browser.

It's like the human brain. We use 100% of the brain, just not all at the same time. In other words, I use 100% of my phone's capability, just not all at one time. I use some features less than others, but I still use it all.

I'd have to say though that I very very very rarely ever open the Stocks, Compass, or Voice Memo apps. They're completely useless for me although I keep them on the front page because it's reserved for defaults.

Calendar:I use this all the time to keep track of meetings and other important thing that I don't want to forget
Calculator:Again not all the time, but I love it for when I am at the grocery store.
Camera/Gallery:I use my camera all the time to take and send pics to friends and fam. Also to upload to FB and Twitter
Clock:I have 3 different alarms set for different days of the week.
Contacts:I have most of the numbers that I call on my favs but I do go into contacts from time to time.
App Store:Every day, I am kind of an app whore.
iPod:One of the things that I love most. When I am out running errands it's nice to have some music bumpin through my headset
Weather App:I don't use it every day for my home city, but I use it at least once a week to see if NASCAR is going to be rained out.

Forgot to add the voice memo app.

Stocks... if that's added to the list, I'm sure 95% don't use it.

I didn't add the compass as it is used when using the Maps app. I find that w/ the compass, it actually gives you the directions for the way your phone is facing.

Well that's what it's supposed to do. But I have to say it always fails me when I need it most. Like when I'm downtown and not sure which way I'm going, it can never point me in the right direction. It's quite faulty.

I pretty much use everything apart from the calculator (because frankly, I can do the maths..or 'math' for you on the otherside of the pond). Oh and I've replaced the weather app with the UK Official Met Office app which is much better. I even use the Stocks app. The one thing I only use occaisionally but should get into the swing of usin more is Notes. I'll use it to make note of addresses and postcodes for Maps but I still generally default to good old pen and post-it notes.

I run my own sole-trader scientific consultancy business and I use my iPhone heavily when I'm away from my office, even if just for a few minutes mostly for email communication with clients. I have found Dropbox a life saver for syncing all my work files to the cloud..much better than MobileMe (which I do have because I rely on it for remotely synching my calendar and contacts).

I have to say the the combined use of Dropbox, MobileMe and HereFileFile has really revoluntionized the way I work.

Also my favorite part of the Iphone is streaming audio (which I know is 3rd party app) but it's such a cool feature I had to add it.

I rarely use my iPhone for GPS (turn by turn) because I have a dedicated builtin GPS in one car and a dedicated (external) Garmin in our second car. However, once in a blue moon, I have had to use the iPhone and Waze to navigate me to a destination that my built-in GPS couldn't find.

I use my iPhone to most of its potential. My usage is usually between 5-8 hours a day on the Usage tab, plus standby time.

Phone? More and more now, yes. It's the only phone I use; I haven't used our home phone in forever now.
Messaging? I send 4000+ texts a month, so lots.
Email? Keeping up to date with everything that's going on, and those around the world.
Maps? I'm a new driver so I'm not fully confident finding a new place the first try, so having "GPS" is the best thing possible. Also finding out roughly how long it takes me to get somewhere so I'm not late.
Web Browser? Quite a bit. If I'm not at home on my Mac I'm browsing something through Safari.
Calendar? (Scheduling) All of the time. I'm a very organized person so I use my calendar religiously.
Calculator? In class when I don't have a real one on me, it's a good enough substitute.
Camera/Gallery? Taking quick pictures of whatever is going on with the family, or when I'm out with friends and posting to Facebook.
Clock? (Alarms and others) I have numerous alarms for waking up at different times during the week for different classes.
Contacts? My Contact list is pretty long, because I keep just about every number I use in there. Plus my iPhone is the only phone I use.
App Store? Often enough. I don't download as many Apps as I used to, but I keep an eye out for new ones still.
iPod? All of the time. Walking to and from school, or when I'm in my truck I plug it in so I don't have to listen to the radio.
Weather App? Keeping an eye on what the weather is for the week, if it will be a good day for boating or not.
YouTube? Rarely. I don't have a huge data plan, so Youtubing isn't the best thing if I want to save data.

People say I use my iPhone too much. After doing this post, I agree with them. :p
