the real question should be "why did you not research this better?"

i spent a good week researching about jailbreaking before i actually did it
i also read all over the place that paying for the software was not to be done

however, i did donate to Geohot and will do so again, no problem

I know this girl at work. Her boyfriend paid for similar software. In his defense, and although he's a nice guy, he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
