Today, my friend came up to me and said that he will give me $250 for my iPhone 3G [Along with the things in the box & the case]. So i thought it was a pretty good deal considering my contract is about to be done this end of May and I'm planning to get the new iPhone that is rumored to come out its annual time.

Here's the problem, He wants to pay this month or early next month [no later] if i say yes [in which case i will] and from then on i don't know what to do

I would tell him to wait till June but he prefers to have it by this month or early next month

The thing that is holding me back is not having a phone [iPhone particularly] for a month or two [i guess you can say i am addicted to the iPhone]

I was thinking of buying my friend's iPod Touch 32GB [which is selling for $80] to distract me from not having an iPhone, but heres the second problem. i would be paying $30 for 1-2 months for the data plan [depending if the iPhone comes out June or July] and wondered if i should cancel the plan for that month.

Basically i have a few minor problems but i want your opinion on what i should do

well there is no specific month [June or July] but its coming in its annual time

i'm just thinking if i should cancel the data plan and use a regualr phone for 1-2 months or just deal with it

just deal with it, it'll be unlikely you'll find someone else to buy it off you for $250 when the new one comes out. Take your chance now, save the money and you'll be laughing all the way to the bank come June/July

I agree, sell it for $250 and pick up a cheap phone until the new one comes out. $250 is a good price for a 3G.

If you do sell it dont buy a new phone from At&t. Depending on which store you get it they may try and re-do your contract or say your not eligible for an upgrade when the new iphone is released if you purchase from them. By one off of craiglists, that way you just have to switch the sims card and it wont mess with your upgrade. If you choose to keep it you will be more than able to sell it once the new iphone comes out. I'm not sure you'll get exactly what you are looking for as their will be alot of people selling theirs around that time but you'll be able to sell it.
