Base Band

When selling an iphone, if asked for the base band is it OK to tell them?
Its not some way to hack my phone is it?

The baseband is the modem version, someone wants to know if it's a version that is currently unlockable or not, that is all.

It's ok to tell them, they can't remotely hack your device knowing the baseband version.
