    My hard drive broke and I had no backup (stupid I know). The hard drive has been replaced. I have downloaded iTunes but am unable to sync my iPhone. iTunes reports an incorrect password.
    Do I have to reset my iPhone ?

    Have you copied all your old iTunes directories intact to the new computer?
