Otter box defender case and charging.

I notice that heat will build up while charging the iphone while in the otter box case.
I assume that the battery life will be reduced.
Anyone gave this any thought ?

Mine will do that from time to time. It has to do with the phone and not the phone being in the case. Your phone is probably getting warm even out of the case. I have found that when mine tries to get warm, which is not that often, I just need to do a reset on the phone (hold down the Home and Power button) and the problem clears up.

What I'm thinking about is that the heat that is generated during charging gets trapped in the case.
I want to know if that will cause reduced battery and iphone life. I know heat is bad for electronics and also battery.

That is what is happening. Just do a reset on the phone and it should clear up the problem. I charge my phone in the case all the time.
