HELP!!! Viewing Word doc attachments email

[yuhhh]

hi all,

when i try to open a word document in my email that has a picture in it, the phone will only show random numbers and letters and not the word doc that was sent to me. my 2g did not have any problems opening attachments with pics in them. PLEASE HELP!!!
