Problem with my iphone

I got an iphone from UK. when i connected to itunes it asked me to restore and i followed. Later its displaying a screen which says insert sim card. I tried using mine but it says invalid sim. How can this be resolved.

You got it from the uk? Are you in the uk?

It's likely locked to a uk provider.

i got one from china and had the same prob the phone ended up being useless sorry for the bad news

Jailbreak with blackra1n. Unlock with Bootneuter from Cydia if it's a iPhone 2G. If it's a 3G/3GS unlock with sn0w.
