Duplicate E-mails

I am receiving 2 of every incoming e-mail. I have played with the settings but can not seem to find the correct ones to solve the problem. Any help?

Is this webmail? If so, which one...google...yahoo..etc.
Or is this an account at work or school?
How is your mail account setup on your phone? POP3, IMAP, Exchange, etc.
