iPod app on my 3GS scrambles my albums

Sometimes when I download an album from iTunes onto my 3GS, the ipod app will add a bunch of songs from another existing album into the newly d/l album. For example, I d/l Hearts GH's album with 17 songs on it, and when I go to look at the songs, there are 43 songs from Bob Seger mixed in with the Heart songs, and the Album has the Heart artwork, but it Says Bob Seger's greatest hits. Can anybody offer any explanations as to why this happens....it also happened on a Journey album that I d/l
