Is there anyway I can easily backup or archive specific text/SMS/MMS messages into a text file without having to sync it to iTunes?

Or is there an app that can do this for you?

    Thanks.

I heard there is an app that helps to make back up of sms in pc. I do not know the name of the app. If anyone know please let me know. My iphone text inbox is full now. I don't want to delete my gf's sms.

While we're on the subject how many sms messages can the iphone hold before it starts rejecting new messages?

In OS 1.1.3 they up'ed the limit from 1000 to about 75k. I am unaware if this limit has been increased since.

So let me get this straight. Greg Orlando who made a reply in this thread has 75,000 texts on his Iphone since his phone.

Well, I have 3600(ish) so far and have only had my phone since July, and I'm just a moderate texter.
