Does anyone know of a character or code that I can put in a dialing sequence to cause the phone to stop dialing prior to the end of the sequence? I want to have in my Address book phone numbers that have short descriptions following them, such as:
    <phone number> <stop code> <description>
    Example:
    Favorite Store
    Business: (123) 456-7890 <stop code> Denver
    Home: (321) 654-0987 <stop code> Colo. Springs
    etc.

This would be used for those cases where Business, Home, Mobile and Other just don't describe the number adequately. I don't want to have to create separate address book entries these numbers if I can help it.

you can always add a note on the contact to say home is colorado springs and business is denver.

    That will work! Thanks!

Never thought of it but it is cleaner and more in line with the design of iPhone Contacts, Outlook Contacts and Palm Addresses, all of which I'm trying to keep sync'ed.
