ActiveSync and Contact Problem

Starting with 3Gs trying to sync 4000+ contacts is getting stuck at 1300 every time. Same setup on 3G brings me all contacts. What can I do to troubelshoot this problem. I am starting to hate Apple. Not ready for the "Corporate" environment. Any help appreciated.

read this. Do any of your contacts fall under these limits?

Also, what you're seeing is an activesync problem. It's a Microsoft technology.
