how to save battery life for iphone & itouch

i noticed one thing not mentioned in one of the "how to save battery life tips" was its better to use the charger that links up to your computer that came with the iphone/itouch because you get a better charge because it takes longer. I know the quick chargers rock but this will help battery time and life.
