I have had no problem syncing my iphone until I plugged it into my partners computer - all my previous data was erased and now when I connect to my own computer it recognises my phone but will not let me sync music, photos etc. Any help out there??

Have you checked your settings while plugged into iTunes? Is everthing checked that you want to sync? You might have to do a restore.

it shouldn't. I would do a restore from backup first and see how that goes.

    I have the same issue.
I got a new touch due to a screen issue, but apple support
had me try restoring as new to make sure it was a hardware problem.

So am I to understand that by restoring as new
it erases or makes unavailable, all data stored in apps?
such as my passwords in Keeper? and data in PocketMoney?

As mentioned by Chobbs1 earlier, you have to go into the tabs in iTunes and check what you need to sync to the phone. In the info tab, there are some check boxes at the bottom, that you have to scroll down to that you have to check to transfer data from the computer to the phone, like contacts, notes and calendar data.

The iPhone usually syncs one way, from the phone to the computer, from what I have seen.

If you restore form new all data gets erased like gaming scores, etc. I've restored from backup and my PasswordWallet's data was still live.

@Angela Curran-Apple will not allow users to share data from one computer to another. This is why you are having problems to begin with.
