    Hi,
I have an iPhone 3G. The GPS is not working anymore since I updated for 3.0.1. The device only uses triangulation. Well, it may be a device problem.
    BUT...
I got an brand new iPhone 3GS yesterday. And right out of the box, I have exactly the same problem: no GPS on this new device.

There are threads on Apple Discussions Forums about this problem, so I'm not alone in that case. But what can I do? I don't think that a replacement will be the solution. Two iPhones with the same problem at the same time!!!

I've tried everything like that. But this morning, I noticed that the GPS works when I'm on Edge, but not likely on 3G. So I don't know why...
And now, on my iPhone 3G, without SIM card, the GPS works fine!!!
Is it the network? But how?

I have a similar problem. When driving, it seems to be going in and out between GPS and Cell Phone Triangulation. And when it does go on GPS, it's not updating real time. Choppy with a few second delays and intervals.

I am hoping this is a software issue and not a hardware issue. Any thoughts?
