I thought the camera on the 3GS was 1200 x 1600 ?
I took a picture, emailed it to my gmail account. When I open the file on my PC, it is 800 x 600 resolution?
I can't find any place to set any settings for the camera.
Shouldn't the iTunes sync copy the pictures off my iPhone on to the directory specified in iTunes Photos tab? It doesn't.
Confused!

They get scaled down!
Go to your image, tap and hold until the "Copy" option shows up. Tap that. Go to your email. Paste.
Full res image.

iTunes only syncs photos to your iPhone not from your iPhone.
Check out this blog post on how to email full size photos

That is so nutty !!! What is th logic in doing things this way?
Apple really needs to open up the file system so that we can attch files like we are used to....
Where does sync copy the pictures off the iPhone to the PC?

Like I said iTunes does not sync photos from your iPhone just to it.

Sorry, I missed your e-mail in my hurry to respond.
Not using the Sync process to get photos off the iPhone and on to the PC is even more nuts than I thought.
I so want to be an Apple fanboy, but they won't let me with these shortcomings ..

If you have a mac. The iPhoto should open automatically when you plug in your phone. This is how the iPhone syncs Photos from and to the iPhone.
