    Greetings...I'm new to the Iphone Blog. I was adding ringtones to my iPhone, but everything had to sync. Is there a way around that?

    Welcome to the party!

    You can uncheck all items you don't want it to sync.

    So...you have to go to each tab....photos, notes, etc. and uncheck them?

    If you leave it alone and just add a ringrone and sync it "checks" everthing and syncs only what has changed. This doenot take very long

    After your first sync it shouldnt take long at all. Mine syncs the bare minimum now.

    Most Of the TIme the SYnc Isnt What is taking al the time it is the Back Up

    the sync stays short while the backup gets longer. and it no longer backs up your apps or media and directly restores. the restore just tells it which ones to sync afterwards
