Poor quality Bluetooth in the car

Since moving to the iPhone the sound quality on my hands-free bluetooth in the car is very bad (for the other party) and it has also jumbled the address book (first name last/last name first) on the in-car information screen.
Any clues?
Should I contact my Apple store, my car dealership or my phone provider?
The system worked fine on the Sony Ericsson I had previously.

yeah i agree, use 3.0, i did that and now my bt connection is hella wicked

Ok, do you have issues with any other bt headset or speakerphone? Chances are it is the 3.0 software not agreeing with your car and perhaps it will be fixed within 3.1. You can try deleting the pairing from the phone and reconnecting. All I can really tell you.

I have narrowed the problem down to my car. The dealership is rectifying the problem under warranty.
