Nope, I'm going 32GB from the start. I have to agree to give my spouse my iPod Touch in exchange for getting a new iPhone, but it is worth it to me to have my phone, iPod and Palm equivalent all in one device.

I'm glad I got the 32, I always get the largest I can.
I am doing fine with the 16, the limit just means I only put on things I will really use.
That's what she said! ;):rolleyes::(
I knew I would regret getting the smaller iPhone so I bought the 32GB. I haven't been disappointed.
That was tasteless, watcher.
I also took my 16GB ophone back to get the 32. I bought the 16 thinking that there was a chance that I wouldn't like it so I didnt want to spend the extra money. But I decided to keep it so I went back five days later and got the 32.
16GB is plenty for me, if they had an 8GB option I probably would have gone that way.
Yep, what he said. You'll have the phone a year or two. May as well get the extra storage. Especially with video recording.
I agree. I like not having to worry about having enough space.
I never came close to filling up my 16GB 3G..
Went ahead and got the 32GB 3GS..
Even so, I still have not filled it up as much as my 16GB 3G was - lol :D
Yup I sent the 16 3G back for the 3gs 16gb only to resale. I bought a 32gig out right for myself
I am just hoping that 32GB will get me through the year. We are only 3 months in and I am not very sanguine.
I would always go for the maximum amount of storage space if you can afford it. You never know if you will need it. Movies, music, and apps fill up fast. I'm seeing some games as much as 600MB.
Incidentally, I wonder if there will be 64 GB phones and media cards soon?
Originally I was going to get the g/f and I the 16GBs, but our 3G 16GB ones only had about 2GB left each. Selling our 3G ones made us enough to pay for 2 32GB ones, so I figured I'd rather have space to work with than have to pick and choose....even though it wouldn't have been a big deal. I'm glad we got the 32GB ones. Especially with the video recording. I do a lot more of that than I thought I would...
I'm sitting at about 15GB free.
Video recording does change the thought process a little. If you do a lot of video recording, you will definitely need more space. I have found myself taking more photos and video recording too because the pics and bids come out so much nicer than any other phone I have had.
It depends on what you want to put in the phone. I like loading movies and tv shows for travelling. That takes up a lot of space. I knew the larger size would be better for me.
am on 16gb 3gs and am at 11gb free space left ... so i guess 16gb is sufficient for me ...
Parkinson's Law of Storage says that data expands to fill the storage available to put it in.
When I started with IBM Research in 1956, we could not imagine a gigabyte but it would have filled a boxcar. It would take a year and a half to read it at rated speeds and one could not move it a mile for the cost of an iPhone.
My first hard drive had 10 megabytes and cost more than six iPhones.
They tell me that in the first fifty years of the railroad that the cost of transportation fell as fast as that of storage but I do not believe it. Any way you cut it, it is a great value.
More memory always better!!
Me too.:) I don't think I will ever need 32GB.
Not worth it to me really, I don't have those heavy music libraries. 8GB would of been good enough for me but lowest they had was the 16GB for the 3GS's.
I ended up going with the 32GB 3gs, the more I thought about it the more I wanted the extra space...I've got a tone of music plus once I start adding videos it will still fill up fast...
16 is plenty for me
While I've only used a few GB of my phone, a tiny fraction of the 32GB thus far, I'm VERY glad I went with the 32. Not a matter of need, but it's there just in case.
