    Ok do you think plugging the USB charger for an iPhone into a USB extender would be detrimental to the phones battery.

    It's nothing to do with power loss!!! It's data loss that can be affected. That's why 5m is the longest recommended length for a USB cable on USB 2.0. If more than 5m are required, a repeater should be used.

    I've been using the 10ft USB extender below ever since my iPhone 3G came out last year and I have NEVER had a problem charging it or any of the other issues that were prevalent when the 3G was first released.

    lol ... I went with a 5' USB extender so it would reach my nightstand, and so far so good. All works well.
