    My 3GS was ordered via Apple and arrived 6/19. Ive subsequently had spotty reception here at home when Ive had zero problems prior with my Treo 680. The wifes iPhone (v1) also has solid reception.

    After talking to the tech folks at AT&T they said to go in to an AT&T store and have the SIM Card replaced.

    The staff in the store stated that it is there understanding that ALL initial online orders for the 3GS shipped with faulty SIM Cards. They have been replacing them left and right...

    My 3GS now has rock solid reception here at home.

    Hmm. Well I ordered the first day from Apple and I almost always have 5 bars. Guess I was one of the lucky ones.

    Yes, I find it hard to believe that All SIMS were bad but that is what the AT&T folks claimed...
