I am an iPhone newbie, but was able to do screen shots on my iPhone 3G prior to the 3.0 update by holding down the home key and hitting the sleep button on top. Now that doesn't work. Any suggestions?

You could look through the iphone manual posted by Rene in a stickie. They've probably changed the keys needed to do that.
