iPhone in BlackBerry holster=brick?

Ok, so I have a work issued BlackBerry and an iPhone 3G for my personal line. I just accidentally placed my iPhone into my BlackBerry holster for the drive home and now my iPhone is nonresponsive. No reaction when I plug it in to charge, no reaction when I connect it to iTunes.

My BlackBerry auto shuts down (or something?) when I place it into the holster. Is there some magnet or something in th holster that just bricked my iPhone? Has anyone ever heard of this?

Hold down Home button and power button for a couple minutes.

I remember twice mine would not turn on and I had to hold them down for a couple minutes.
