Unlocked iPhone & T-Mobile Sidekick LX

Hi All,

Happy to have found this forum; it has been very helpful. My question:

I will soon be receiving an unlocked iPhone 3g from Australia. I have a Sidekick LX with a prepaid unlimited internet, e-mal and text plan. Will I be able to just insert the sim from the Sidekick, or do I need a new plan. I will be using my prepaid BB for my phone.

You will indeed need a new data plan as the sidekick plan will not work on any iPhone.

No problem, any normal unlimited data plan will do and just remember to set up the data APN correctly afterwords.

How do I that? Do I get the settings from T-Mobile?

It depends on the data plan you do get.

For Blackberry Tmobile plans you use wap.voicestream.com as the user name and the password is left blank.

For other data plans use epc.tmobile.com as the APN and leave the password blank.

(To get to these settings go into settings, general, network.)
