I have a jail-broken iPhone first gen. and have been experiencing problems with the vibrate/ringer controls. It has a tendency to switch automatically without me manually doing it.

So...I just scheduled myself with an appointment with a apple tech at the store. My plan is to restore my iPhone, take it in, and act as if I never jail-broken it. The guy that I talked to said they would have to do diagnostic tests. So im wondering....

Can they detect that I had jail-broken it? Will my warranty be in-valid?

Please write back as soon as possible. Thanks.

No, just restore back to normal and you are good. If it was unlocked that would be another thing...
