increase volume beyond norm?

hi,

i'm a little hard of hearing, not so much that i have issues at work or when i'm out with friends. but when i'm in loud places using my iphone with the included headset, well, sometimes, i don't hear too well. for example, when i'm in nyc walking around, it's hard to hear the people i'm talking to on the phone. do you know of a way to increase the volume beyond the norm -- is there an iphone app that i can download?

hmmm, I've never heard of anything that could that. Maybe a jailbroken app?
