How do I save my phone numbers??

A couple of times after jailbreaking my phone completely crashed. I had to reset the phone and lost all my phone numbers. How do I save my phone numbers as a backup? Once I thought I had my numbers saved with my backup, but it didn't work. It had backed up every setting, photo, etc. I had on the phone, but not phone numbers. How do I get my phone numbers saved and synched to my phone? I hate losing numbers and having to enter every name and number in all over again!

Via iTunes under "contacts"... [Look under the "info" tab within iTunes]

If you are referring to numbers you manually dial, save them as a contact and then do what Bad Ash recommends.
