Fixing scratches on 3g

I did a search on "fixing scratches" and nothing came up. I was wondering if anyone has been able to fix some of the fine scratches on the back of the phone. I do keep mine in a case but over time my phone has gathered some scratches on the back. I actually have a semi deep one that I have no idea where it came from. I understand wear and tear gives it personality but when I look at the back of my phone the scratches are mocking me! HELP!!!!!

I was gonna try Ice Creme but didnt want spend the dough if it doesnt work. Are there any tips or tricks anyone has used to get your phone looking out of the box new?

This may help. I don't have any scratches on my phone but it sure does clean it and make it very glossy. Screen and plastic on back.
