New to iphone upgrading

Help. I'm a fairly new Iphone user. I love my phone. I have an unlocked and jailbroken 2g phone using 2.1 firmware. I use t-mobile. Can I upgrade to 2.2? If so, how can I do this. Is it worth it? Do you recommend having someone else update for me?

Yes, you can update to 2.2 then having to jailbreak/unlock again. If you do not have any idea of what you are doing or doubt your capability to do so then I suggest you do NOT attempt it on your own. You could render your device a paperweight.

Best thing I can tell you if you do want to proceed is research research research. Know what you are doing before you even begin. Good luck
