How to remove applications

Okay, so I got an iPhone from my friend, and I jailbroke/unlocked it and forgot to install the "Installer" app. Is there anyway I can remove an application from the home page without clicking on it to make it shake and the little x on the left corner? Because I make it shake, but it doesn't delete it. Thanks for any help.

You can not delete jailbroken apps from Cydia via the method of tapping the X on the home screen by the icons. You have to use Cydia to uninstall the apps. Hope this helps you out.
