Please Help! no 3G Connection

Hi,

I just bought a new Iphone 3G which I have unlock using a turbo sim, the phone is also jailbroken using quickpwn version 2.1. (I live in the UK and I have a contract with Orange).
I have no problems connecting to wifi networks however I cannot connect via the 3G service. (none of my internet apps connect when i'm on the move)

can any one please help me!

I've heard bad things about those SIM cards, like them working for 10 minutes, and then never again.
