On my iPhone 3G it's 2.374mbps DOWN, 236kbps UP.
I think that's pretty damn impressive.
When I get 3GS it should be even faster.

for 3g: 760 kbps DOWN, 250 kbps UP
for wifi: 2.6 mbps DOWN, 500 kbps UP.

BTW on Wifi my speeds are 4.5mbps DOWN, 285kbps UP.

It's weird but on my connections it seems like the upload speed doesn't get faster no matter what. My download speeds are incredibly fast... upload? No.

At my home in Frederick, MD (speedtest.net app, 45 miles north of DC)
~1000kbps down
~250kbps up

In Washington, DC
~2000kbps down
~300kbps up

3G was just expanded to my home in Frederick in December. I found downloads to be quite a bit faster in DC and I assume they are probably similar in Baltimore as well. But even 1000kbps is pretty fast I think for a wireless cell service. It also varies a bit naturally, but looking at my testing results those are the averages. I also tested EDGE one time at home, it was pretty bad; ~150kbps/~80kbps. But I think my area is one of the ones where EDGE was down graded for better 3G.

Yeah I live in the area of Sting7K, so maybe if I check in the DC area it'll be better. I'm just astounded by some of the speeds reported here for 3G though.

That's really slow, especially since you live near a big city.

It's because the network in Canada and especially in the area I live in very very strong.

At least that's what I'm assuming!
Rogers here in Canada has a much more mature and much stronger 3G network than AT&T. Also we have much less people hogging it.
