Best Buy to sell the iPhone in Canada?

Does anyone remember this? It's from months ago and is still available on the Best Buy website. I wonder if this will go through?

Maybe this means that it will be available in the US at Best Buy too?

Either that or this was just a scam to get us to sign up for their e-Newsletter

It's still being rumored, but mostly by Best Buy Mobile employees in various forums trying to drum up business and buzz. If this ever happens, it won't be for several more months.

It'd be great if Best Buy carried iPhones.
They're already opening up sections devoted to Apple so it would make sense to carry one of their biggest products. It would also ease the lines at AT&T and Apple stores.

At least Rogers backed off a little and now will sell you an iPhone voice only (no data plan required).

A friend of mine is a Best Buy Mobile manager and she said that they have no plans on selling the iPhone any time soon. The only stores that will be handling them will be AT&T and Apple. At least that is what she was told at the training she went to back in May.
