Hello, I dont have an iPhone, but I do have an iPod Touch. Will the 2.0 update cost me money like the 1.1.3?? and will it cost to iPhone users? Anyone knows why apple wanted us to pay for 1.1.3 and it wasn't free like the rest?
Thanks!

Yes, from what I know it will cost money for a 'small fee' as termed by Apple.

Reasoning? No clue other than to make money..

Apple makes money off of the iPhone customers (monthly revenue from AT&T) but they dont make squat off of the iPod touch people after they buy it so they think that they have got to pony up some cash to get new features. Kind of makes sense but not really its not like they were going to not make the update work for the touch so why not just give it out. Although I'm guessing here but I would assume that if you use the new jailbreak pwn or whatever it is you can load different firmwares so you could load 2.0 or whatever comes later without paying for it if / when someone puts it up on the net for downloading. Come on apple knows that that's going to happen so they should just give it out for free.
