    Why is it that all these overseas carriers can do this? Free iPhone, subsidized iPhone? As much as I want to see AT&T do this, I highly doubt they will.

    that is totaly not fare. If they did this in the united states i am very sure that you would have to pay 100 or mabye even 200.

    You are right. It's not fare. It is, however, fair. In the end you pay the same, or more, money. In America we pay for the razor and get the razorblades cheap. O2 gives you the razor and charges an arm and a leg for the razorblades.

    Yeah that makes sense. I would rather expend a large amount now than pay a huge monthly bill. Even though they will probably end up being the same amount.

    It all depends on your usage, how long you keep the phone, and the details of the plan. In my case, I will keep my old iphone as a development vehicle, so I'm happy I own it.
