http://www.popcap.com (only works if you go there from an iphone)

Haven't compared load time/responsiveness versus diamante, but it sure LOOKS pretty.

Load times are the same, except the first time you are redirected to popcap, you have to go through the whole first page thing.

I don't know if the random engine is the same or not, but I have run out of moves a lot more often on newer popcap iteration.

    I also like tictacwhoa :-)

I haven't had much of a chance to play the new one yet. I assume they changed the engine somewhat to more closely match the binary versions of the game, but who knows. I wonder what their revenue model is for this. That, to me, is the missing link. In my case I just want to pay for my server, but I assume popcap wants a profit :-)

Another thought - i always assumed popcap would be one of the firms that apple would deign to allow to write native iphone software for sale on itunes. Maybe the free bejeweled will convince apple to do so, or maybe this means there never will be a native version. Just something to ponder.
