My take: Most people think iPhone will be a success, to varying degrees. They also think Treo isn't really in the same class and so it may not affect Treos directly. BUT Treo is lacking so it may go by the wayside anyway. JMO from looking at the poll.

Yeah, I think Treos have more to fear from $100 smartphones like the Blackjack than the iPhone. Palm is roughly half the price of an iPhone. And the iPhone is more a feature phone than a smartphone at this time anyway, so targeted at a different user.

Actually, I remember that specifically: Surur was referring to the nex-gen Prada which was going to have DMB, not the current iteration which was never projected to have that feature.

This was in relation to the discussion of the iPhone coming to Europe late this year: Surur was contending that the Prada II would be rolling out around the same time. It was then he invoked the DMB argument as a feature the iPhone would be lacking in comparison, hence behind in offerings.

Anyone want to confirm/disconfirm that recollection?
