How would you map this drive to itunes mobile? Arnt you assuming a bit much?

Maybe, but with BT, WiFi, and a usb connection option, it seems likely to work. Besides, it's primary use will be a WiFi storage device for my d-slr. That, for sure, will work. Posting it's existence on this particular website (I also listed it in "Accessories") seemed appropriate.

As far as how I would map the drive, that would be pure speculation since no one outside Apple's tech people have actually used the iPhone and it's particular OS.

The release says they will be releasing an open source protocol along with the device, for device makers to use. The bluetooth FTP protocol is pretty standard, but not fast enough for video for example. For it to work it will need some kind of WIFI file sharing, and it does not sound as if they are planning to use some-one else's protocol, but roll their own. This does not auger well for compatibility with closed OS devices, unless the OEM decides to play along.

I'm sure Apple would rather you buy their next greatest capacity device however.
