Apple`s newton was the springboard for palm`s ideas

This video is really kinda neat, particularly as the apple newton was created so very long ago. Apple was on the right track way before many other companies even thought about productivity on the go.... Its a shame they let this productline die.

Newton was overpriced for the market.

And Steve Jobs abandoned the platform because it was not his baby.

For the record it was an amazing piece of software. I don't think any other PDA can take PC cards.

I still have my Newton 130, which is in very good working condition.

I agree, the newton looks like a sweet device for its time. I like the interface on that unit - seems very user-friendly and intuitive.
Too bad they let it go, but looking at how the pda sector is dying, it turned out to have been a very wise choice on Jobs' part.
