I see texting, but nothing about email. IF they leave this out, its dead on arrival.

*EDIT*. IMAP or POP3 only. So close Apple, but unusable in the coporate world. It is push IMAP though.

This is not innovation, edge only and IMAP or POP3 only. It is close, but unless there is an update prior to actual release it will not replace the smartphone for those who use the entire package. It will appeal to a large segment, but not the all in one wonder we expected.

It's just the "jihad" talking. Jobs can take a **** on stage and sculpt it into something purty(sic) and you would see the same reaction.

one of the slides does mention Exchange Sync, probably not push though. It also uses the full safari browser. This thing looks really nice. Dont like on screen keyboards though.

They give you a free yahoo push imap account for free also.

"We have Safari running on iPhone -- it's the first fully-usable browser on a cellphone. We have Google Maps." Big applause.

Well, err, sorry to **** on your fireworks, but we've had PIE for quite a while now.

When is this guy gonna realize that he's never been FIRST at anything!

Sure, the UI is pretty cool but the rest of it is just a re-boxed treo! What a pile of cack.

They meant push email in imap, unless you store your calendar and contacts on yahoo as well. Still is only probably pushing the email. This is the exact setup for Chatter.

    Re. push mail, 3G, etc...
3G would be great, and I'm suprised and disappointed, but really...
This is NOT going to be a device geared toward corporate users. This is a device that fills THE niche between full on corporate devices (well, imperfect ones like the Treo line and 8125, etc) and devices like the SLVR AND devices like the iPod.
I may be able to live without 3G for this sort of flexibility. With WiFi, I can make do - as I have for a while now.
